Lloris: No buy-out clause in Tottenham contract

Hugo Lloris insists he does not have a buy-out clause in his Tottenham contract, as rumours persist that the goalkeeper will seek a move away from White Hart Lane.

France international Lloris has been one of the Premier League s most consistent goalkeepers since joining from Lyon in 2012.

However, Tottenham once again failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League this this term and Lloris has been linked with a switch to Manchester United.

Reports in France suggested that Lloris, who penned a five-year contract at Spurs in July 2014, has a clause that allows him to leave in the event Tottenham missed out on the Champions League, something the player denies.

That doesn t correspond to the reality. There is no clause,  Lloris told L Equipe. With my bos…

Klopp: No extra pressure amid talk Liverpool are back on their perch

Jurgen Klopp insisted there was no extra pressure on Liverpool after chief executive Peter Moore said the Premier League giants were back on their perch.

Earlier this week, Moore said the European champions were back on their perch, referencing former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson.

But Klopp, whose side visit Sheffield United in the Premier League on Saturday, shrugged off the talk, saying he did not even know what a perch was.

No, absolutely no extra pressure, not at all, the Liverpool manager told UK media.

I heard about it but I don t even understand about perch so for me it is not a big thing to be honest.

We are all adults and we say things and sometimes people have to deal with things that I say, and in this case people seem to …

Paris Saint-Germain have announced that Thiago Motta has agreed terms on a new deal, keeping him at the club until June 2017.

Inter 2-2 Parma: Karamoh stars on San Siro return to deny Conte´s men top spot

Parma forward Yann Karamoh scored one and set up another on his San Siro return to help his side earn a 2-2 draw and deny Inter top spot in Serie A.

Juventus dropped points for just the second time this season in their 1-1 draw with Lecce earlier on Saturday but Inter, despite taking the lead, could not take full advantage.

Karamoh, whose loan to Parma from the Nerazzurri is set to become permanent at the end of the season, cancelled out Antonio Candreva s fortuitous opener and set up Gervinho to put Parma ahead in the 30th minute.

Romelu Lukaku equalised early in the second half despite being in an offside position in the build-up his sixth Serie A goal awarded after a lengthy VAR check but Inter could not find a winner and remain a point adrift of leaders Ju…

Cristiano Ronaldo walks in anger off the pitch after Manchester United draw with Everton (Video)

Cristiano Ronaldo was not looking happy as he walked off the pitch at Old Trafford after Manchester United played a 1-1 draw against Everton on Saturday.

Interestingly enough, Andros Townsend, who copied Ronaldo s celebration in what appeared to have been a mocking fashion after scoring the equalizer for the Toffees, was the one player who approached the Portuguese superstar and offered words of consolation.

The frustration on the face of Cristiano Ronaldo. Not happy.

Straight down the tunnel at full-time.

Remy puts Marseille back in French hunt

A first-half goal from summer signing Loic Remy gave Marseille a morale-boosting 1-0 home win over Nancy on Saturday to bolster their hopes of retaining the French league title.

Deschamps had said in signing Remy from Nice along the Cote d Azur that I ve brought him in to score goals and he did not disappoint with an all-r…

Besiktas want Stefano Okaka

According to reports in Turkey, Besiktas are interested in signing Watford forward Stefano Okaka. The 29 year old has scored a handful of goals at Vicarage Road over the course of the last two and a half years, but he hasn’t quite been able to establish himself as a regular member of the first team set-up.

All of his appearances this season have been as a substitute, whereas Besiktas seem to be keen on making him a first team regular. The plan would be to establish him from the word go, replacing the likes of Alvaro Negredo and Cenk Tosun who both left the club within the last twelve months. Besiktas will supposedly first look into the possibility of a loan move, starting in the January transfer window, before trying to make it permanent in the summer.

France maintain perfect record with win over Gibraltar

Olivier Giroud and Kylian Mbappe scored for France in their 3-0 victory over Gibraltar in European Championship qualifying.

Giroud netted after only three minutes but a penalty from Mbappe just before half-time was the only other chance that the World Cup finalists converted before a late own goal from Aymen Mouelhi as France maintained their 100 per cent record in Group B.

In Group C, Ukraine fought back from 2-0 down to beat North Macedonia 3-2 and claim their first victory.
